We all know that having a Facebook page is a must for building your brand, but did you know that the main page is really just scratching the surface of what you can see on this platform? The Insights tab, in particular, is an invaluable resource to you that can help you increase brand awareness, loyalty and sales.
Facebook Insights can show you demographic information of the people that have liked your page, engagement numbers by post, data on when your audience is on Facebook, unlikes, traffic referrers and literally dozens of other interesting metrics.
From here you can use this information to help guide the content you will post to the page. It all boils down to content; if you are posting quality content that appeals to your audience they are more likely to like, comment and share your post – which in turn ends up on their own newsfeed and is also shared to people that they are friends with. It can greatly increase your exposure to new potential customers, by way of their endorsement.
You may also want to spend some time “Liking” other brand pages, commenting as a brand and sharing what they say (if appropriate and relevant for you). This in turn increases your exposure to new people. This is one element to Facebook that many brands forget about, but it can be just as valuable as posting content.
A few more valuable tips for Facebook:
- Facebook pages for wineries are considered “advertising” and are subject to the provisions of the FAA Act and TTB regulations, therefore, all mandatory statements should be included. Insert these into one part of the page (ideally on your Profile, About or header image. If you are not sure what the mandatory statements are please read this article.
- Download the Pages App to manage your page via your iPad or iPhone. This allows you to easily manage your page and see Insights.
