NAPA, Calif., April 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The Wine Foundry today announced the launch of the Foundry Wine Club, (http://www.FoundryWineClub.com) a new wine club that connects consumers with boutique, ultra premium California wines that are unavailable in stores. The new wine club will feature three offerings: 90+ Club, Napa Cab Club and Wines to Watch.
The Wine Foundry, a state-of-the-art winemaking facility located in Napa, sources fruit from an impressive list of “who’s who” vineyard sources that collectively represent the top one percent of wine grapes grown in California. This coveted fruit comes from some of the most storied vineyards and legendary growers in American winemaking, such as Stagecoach Vineyard and Georges III Vineyard in the Napa Valley.
“With more than 300 different ultra premium wines now produced in our facility, this is the perfect time to add a wine club that will connect consumers with hand-crafted, limited production wines that can be difficult to find,” said Steve Ryan, General Manager of The Wine Foundry. “We support small lot producers in their mission to create truly exceptional wines, and at the same time, connect them with discerning buyers.”
With its distinctive focus on boutique, ultra premium wines, the Foundry Wine Club serves a bigger trend in the wine industry as the consumer continues to “trade up” to fine wine. Silicon Valley Bank is predicting “a breakout year of growth” in sales in the fine wine category citing increases in the 14 to 18 percent range in their 2015 report.
Foundry Wine Club curators select best-in-class bottlings from more than 300 different wines produced at The Wine Foundry in Napa. Through its grower-direct and brand owner-direct relationships, the Foundry Wine Club is able to pass savings on to consumers at prices 20% below retail value. Wine shipments occur four times per year and start from $165.
Club members select among three club types for their shipments depending on whether they prefer to receive only high-scoring wines of 90 points of more; exclusively Napa Cabernet; or a variety of up and coming “Wines to Watch”. The biggest dilemma for club members will be which club to choose.
Club members will enjoy additional benefits not included in traditional wine clubs, such as the opportunity to participate in an exclusive harvest experience. Members will also get access to a wine concierge, full tasting notes and wine information, a complimentary private tour and tasting at The Wine Foundry as part of their Foundry Wine Club membership.
Wine brands featured in upcoming shipments include 5 Bridges Wines, Ankh Wines, August Truth, Darjean Jones Wines, De Fina Family Cellars, Idella Wines, Lionheart Wines, Mulvane Wines, Miracle Hill Vineyards, Melhill Wines, Petrali Wines, Platinum Crush, Ricardus Corculum, Robert John Vineyards, Rubinna Wines, Sea Bird Wines, SoMa Cellars and Sonkin Cellars.
